I like Edge. I still read it, but I think the quality really has dipped since colin campbell left.

Congrats Edge. Too bad I live in America, or else I would have an Edge subscription.

Despite being unfortunate enough to live in America, it's not all bad! Subscriptions to EDGE are available in the US, just click the link below, and you too can find out why EDGE is the Best Games Magazine.

Racist, far from it. It's xenophobic!

glad to hear the news on this Friday morning. i have been reading EDGE for several months and the style of the article is really different from those magazine in the us market. i hope i could collect some back issues since it's a bit hard to look for in the us bookstore. the same thing happened to games TM too. these two magazine undoubtedly the best magazines in the market and no other us magazines can compete with.

Congratulation!

You mean they still have magazines in the UK???

Just kidding, congrats.

I love Edge but let's face it, given what the average gaming mag is like, it's not hard to win this one.

Easily the best magazine on the market by a massive margin.

Well deserved - and to eurogamer and the guardian also

I have to say, I read both Games(TM) and Edge and I don't regret it. It's great to cross reference the information and the articles from both magazines are satisfying.

It's €13 a month on magazines along, but it's damn worth it for some of the best information around.

Edge won an award, how the fuck did that happen...

The writing has got worse over the years and the staff give silly scores (8/9's) out to games that don't merit them.

Alex Walker's picture

You're in a minority I'm afraid, generally speaking, the readership is happy with the magazine.

Just taking a break from Uncharted 2 to say congrats and well done EDGE. It's why I never miss an issue..........now if you'll excuse me.........

Nice One Edge!! Keep up the good work :D

Try reading any other games magazine (not including Games TM) and you can see how Edge easily won this

I've read lots of magazines over the years and with the rise of the internet it's much easier to cross reference information with sites like Kotaku and IGN, I think I've got all bases covered. I still maintain my Edge subscription as I have done for many many years :D and it has certain given me great insight into what is going on in the industry.

Games TM is a good magazine but I get the feeling that it's trying very hard to be like Edge. "There can be only one!!" Maybe they should have a midnight showdown in an abandoned warehouse in the bid for immortality. Rick Porter (Games TM Editor in chief) even looks a bit like The Kurgan.
