Wii Sports Resort dropped one place to second on the chart, despite recording a month-over-month jump of 250,000 sales.
Batman: Arkham Asylum was August’s other most notable success. The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the title placed fourth and fifth on the chart respectively, racking up combined sales of 593,000 units.
