Sony is bringing its PSP adhocParty service to Europe, North America, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
While PSP's ad-hoc mode has traditionally required users wanting to play online together to be in close proximity, adhocParty enables two or more players, each with a copy of the same title, to play together or share content over the internet through their PS3.
Launched in Japan last year, the service also supports communication features like voice and text chat.
adhocParty compatible games include Gran Turismo, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Dissidia Final Fantasy and Resistance: Retribution. The service is set to debut in North America this month and “soon” in other territories.
