Sony Computer Entertainment America has confirmed plans to streamline its quality assurance division in a bid to reduce costs.
While Kotaku originally reported that the reorganisation could affect upwards of 100 testing positions, SCEA played down that figure while saying that it will consolidate its QA business into a single facility.
"We are consolidating our [Foster City-based] first-party QA group to one location in San Diego," SCEA's Patrick Seybold told Gamasutra. "Approximately 30 full time positions are effectively removed. We do aim to have a contingency workforce down in San Diego, but they are by nature temporary, and depend on season and title release."
Try putting an ad out on Monster.co.uk, Linkedin etc.
You could try ringing Sony but i doubt they will be able share info.
My only question is how can I get in contact with the ones they let go. I have some plans for bonafide QA Testers. Anyone know?
