Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus climbed one place to take the top spot on the UK all formats chart as Wii hardware sales rocketed during the week ended November 7.
The exercise title’s rise was no doubt aided by the highest weekly sales of Wii hardware this year. Sales of the white Wii Sports Resort pack, which launched six weeks ago, were up 57 per cent, while the new black Wii Sports Resort pack made a "strong debut", according to GfK Chart-Track.
EA’s FIFA 10 took second place, ahead of Wii Sports Resort and last week’s bestseller, Football Manager 2010.
The highest new entry was EA’s Dragon Age: Origins in fifth. Despite the release of the PS2 and PSP versions of PES 2010, Konami’s football title dropped four places to ninth.
Sony’s Singstar: Take That for PS3 and PS2 and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time for PS3 debuted at 16 and 23 respectively. Atari’s and Sony’s Ghostbusters: The Videogame re-entered the chart at 26 following the release of the Xbox 360, Wii, DS, PC and PSP versions.

With rising obesity levels throughout [US-UK] this is a good thing. even if it makes people think about their health, ideally people should go out jogging or other activities, I think Miyamoto said the same thing [Wii-fit not enough]. Even better go to the gym....
Maybe Modern Warfare 2's nightvision goggles might do better to get everyone (who's got them) into, albeit nocturnal, outdoor pursuits, lol! (Takes tongue out of cheek...)
There should be a dogging level in it.
I lost three stone trying to work out in what way a tin box is worth £10 and how it makes anything collectors edition
Whilst I can understand serious collectors of game memoribilia forking out 120 quid for the Prestige pack, the price difference between the normal and hardened editions of MW2 is insane. I'm still reeling from being similarly ripped off for forking out an extra tenner for the travesty that was the limited edition Uncharted 2.
Thinking I was going to get some decent art cards, they were just printed on thin paper - I could have done that on my laptop! Not even a 'making of' or bonus soundtrack disc like Tomb Raider. Zero effort for a great game, just don't know why they bothered really.
But you're right, whatever position you try to get yourself in ; ) that extra tenner for a tin box still looks like extortion.
Agreed if your a collector then the old night-vision pack is worth it, but these tin cased limited edition things are a joke, especially when a year down the line the are the same price pre-owned as the normal game.
I nearly always find the making ofs a disapointment, im interested in the artwork but the closest thing you ever get to a wireframe is an out of focus screen over someone's shoulder.
Anyway we have gone somewhat off topic
Copy that.
Especially as it's only £14.99 in my local supermarkets; I'll be sticking with my mini trampoline :D
What's 14.99?
Wii Fit Plus one would assume.
Bit rude to call your wife that tbh.
Wii Fit Plus at No.1 doesn't surprise me.
