Blizzard’s World Of Warcraft has partially re-launched in China with a series of government-enforced content changes.
The game had seen an extended period of downtime following the transition to new local operator NetEase, but has reopened in beta form with a number of content changes following a review by the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP), a governmental agency that deals with censorship.
According to MMOSite.com, which has a number of before and after pictures, piles of bones in the title have been replaced by sandbags and the colour of blood has been changed from red to black.
In April NetEase signed a licensing deal with Blizzard to operate World Of Warcraft in mainland China for the next three years, taking over from previous operator The9.

On the upside, the Chinese version of C.S.I. fits on a single YouTube file.
It's extremly important! Think of the convenience the Chinese people are getting because of that.
I don't think China is being hard to its people or anything at all.

Turns out you can release gang games in China, as long as you call them "factions."
