If the marketing chumps at Sony had half a brain they would be including GOW1 and 2 in the package for 3. That would be a real incentive for people to go out and buy it!
If the accounts guys have a heart attack at the thought of giving something away then the next best thing is create a special edition and charge something trivial like and extra 5, 10 bucks/pounds only and you get all 3 games. It needs to be something really small so you still feel like you are getting it for nothing yet they are clawing valuable dollars back in increased sales.
Your conspiracy theory comments I know are not meant to be comical but its really getting that way of late. They crack me up.
It's certainly not worth arguing over thats for sure. Perhaps one day you will have us all convinced.
I really don't think it will 'only ever host games that you see on the iPhone'. If it does eventuate this week I would expect a dedicated section in the app store specifically catering for the tablet.
Designing a game or any app for a 3.5-inch, 480x320 iPhone screen is a lot different to a high res 10"ish one.
I do think it will promote the sales of turntables as well, and I believe they are far from dead.
I have had 1200's for over 10 years and the last couple years they have been connected to Seratos ScratchLive which is pretty standard in all clubs these days. You get the best of both worlds...Vinyl control over your digital music collection.
