Other than for work, the only original games I have enjoyed on my PlayStation 3 are Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Not many. Other than that, my PS3 stays pretty dormant. (Admittedly, Heavy Rain will change that!) Still, while I agree that Sony has FINALLY gotten its shit together after having been whomped by Microsoft, and then flanked by Nintendo (which surpassed MS in sales too), I'd have to say that Sony and its PS3 still have a lot of work to do--just to catch up. This latest set of "conversational points" the press has picked up on is just rah-rah Sony media bites. So, for the sake of competition, go Sony!

Nice to know Kotick has finally started paying attention. I guess Batman Arkham Asylum kinda slapped him in the face. Thank you Rocksteady! And Gavin, though Spider-Man 2 had its problems, it was the first Spider-Man game to truly nail web-slinging, so you should cross that off the list of totally sucky Spider-Man games: that was actually the height of the Spidey games.

After a good long stint working as a social media manager at Bungie, Frank O'Connor left Bungie (about 8 months ago) to work at Microsoft. It wasn't just an ordinary side-stepping job, it turns out. Put that together with Bungie's separation from Microsoft to become its own studio, and now it all makes sense.

Bungie split from Microsoft to become more independent and gain a little more control over its destiny (although arguably all we have seen is more Halo games, and Halo 3: ODST seems a little like contract filler, to be fair). With O'Connor at MS looking over what is essentially a new publishing division at MS, Bungie is very likely going to be under different restrictions (fewer), and have better management over its properties than before. It's essentially a custom publishing brand specifically made for Bungie.

Better, custom management by a Bungie insider who knows games? Sounds like a great idea to me. Congratulations, Frankie!
