The story and character choices in Heavy Rain are just not credible. I was enjoying the Scott Shelby compassionate detective procedural until he randomly turned into Mad Dog McCree. First he has a lot of empathy then… no empathy. Well it’s either one or the other. You won’t find Scott Shelby anywhere on the DSM IV. That’s because his mental condition is called ‘being ridiculous’. People don’t suffer from ‘ridiculous’ in real life so why does Cage think the player will buy it? Basically Cage has no emotional intelligence. I don’t think they can teach this at writing school either.
I guess you can apply the same theory to Iraq. These people have a shitty life with nothing to live for. So its ok to invade em for their oil. Some innocent people might get killed. But that doesnt matter because they had nothing to live for anyway. We're helping them by killing them, see. They would thank us & shake us by the hand if they hadn't been fragmented. And we get to use all that great oil.
I've got a great idea for a DS game - Super Mario Chicken Packer.... Maryland USA: Chickens are caught by the legs and thrown into crates. Catching teams load crates at rates of 1,000 to 1,500 birds per hour. Many chickens are injured in the process, suffering dislocated and broken hips, legs, and wings, as well as internal hemorrhages. Once the crates are packed onto trucks the chickens are denied food, water, and shelter from extreme temperatures. Unless crates are properly covered, exposure to wind and cold will rapidly cause freezing of unfeathered parts. The frosted appendage first becomes red and swollen, followed by gangrene, necrosis, and sloughing. Many chickens die during the trip from hypothermia or heart failure associated with the stresses of catching and transport.
Still, you get a yummy KFC bucket at the end of it.
ok firstly Epic need to integrate vehicles into the core gameplay.... like halo CE did nearly 10 years ago. That means actually being able to mount the bloodmounts and control em with a cheeky yoshi-style punch to the head. Then you can eat other players with the bloodmount. Cliffy should also play Uncharted 2 . In that game you can melee while bounding cover. i.e rev up the chainsaw, jump over cover & land on people with the saw. Some battles in knee deep snow would be nice to.
Chris Dahlen meets the director of interactive fiction documentary Get Lamp and remembers how rich a world that only costs the time it takes to write it can be.

I like your sense of logic
